Terms of Service
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and ROK Steward (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the service.
1. What the service is
ROK Steward is a web application that helps Rise of Kingdoms players and alliance leaders transform raw stat exports into formatted reports (Excel and PDF). Previews of your data are always free. Generating downloadable Excel or PDF files requires either an active subscription or purchased credits.
2. Not affiliated with Lilith Games or Rise of Kingdoms
ROK Steward is an independent fan-made tool. Rise of Kingdoms and all related names, logos, and character artwork are trademarks of Lilith Games. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Lilith Games.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
- You are responsible for the security of your account — choose a strong password and do not share credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@roksteward.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One human per account. Sharing a single account across an alliance or team violates these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Pro Monthly ($9.99/month) and Pro Annual ($89/year) are recurring subscriptions. They auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Report Packs ($4.99 for 5 downloads) are one-time purchases. Credits do not expire.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service.
- All prices are in USD and exclude applicable sales tax/VAT where required by law.
- Cancellation: you can cancel a subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no further charges occur.
- Refunds: subscription fees and credit packs are generally non-refundable. We may grant refunds at our discretion in cases of billing errors, service failures, or accidental duplicate charges. Email support@roksteward.com to request one.
- Price changes:we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase. Increases apply at your next billing cycle.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or bulk-scrape the service.
- Use automated tools or scripts to use features beyond normal human rates.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service or its output as if it were your own. (You’re welcome to share generated reports with your alliance — we’re talking about packaging up ROK Steward itself.)
- Upload malware, illegal content, or data you don’t have the right to use.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.
- Use the service to harass, defame, or harm others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
6. Your content, your data
Ownership
The stat files you upload remain your property. You retain all rights, title, and interest in your uploaded data and the reports generated from it. Generated reports are yours to keep and share however you like.
License you grant us
By uploading Rise of Kingdoms stat data to ROK Steward, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, aggregate, and use that in-game data — governor IDs, kingdom numbers, power, kill counts, dead troop counts, and similar game metrics — to:
- Provide and improve the report-generation service you use;
- Develop new features and products that rely on aggregated KvK statistics. Examples include, but are not limited to, community leaderboards, governor benchmarks, KvK performance indices, trend analyses, matchmaking / recruitment tools, historical archives, and related research products;
- Conduct internal analytics and product research;
- Train, evaluate, or improve tools, models, or algorithms we build.
This license applies only to the in-game data in your uploads. It survives termination of your account.
What we will not do with your data
- Sell raw, personally-identifiable stats records to third parties as a product.
- Publicly attribute individual governor performance to your real-world identity, account email, or social profile without your consent.
- Share your account email, password, or billing information with other users or with anyone outside the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the in-game stats we hold linked to your account, ask us to anonymize or delete your identifiable records (subject to what remains technically possible after aggregation), or opt out of future collection for your account — email privacy@roksteward.com.
7. Our intellectual property
ROK Steward’s branding, original artwork, code, and UI designs are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. Don’t copy them without permission. You retain all rights to your uploaded and exported data (see section 6).
8. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties (Stripe for payments, Supabase for auth, Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS/DDoS, Resend or similar for email). Their availability and terms are outside our control. We are not liable for outages or failures caused by third parties.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free results. Use your judgment when relying on generated reports for alliance decisions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.
12. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by deleting it or emailing us. We can terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., liability limits, IP) continue to apply.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Austin, Texas, unless applicable consumer-protection law in your country overrides this.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
